I’M DONE WITH MY SUMMER CLASS!!!! 🙂

I’m so happy – this means I have over 8 weeks of no studying! Yippee :).

This morning, before my final lab practical, my mom and I went to Starbucks and we passed the liquor store on the way. The sign made me laugh-

Hahaha…so please everyone, remember to not light your nose hairs on fire this weekend ;).

My Boyfriend Chris

So today I thought I would introduce you to Chris, my boyfriend of over 3.5 years. Yes, he has red hair, and I love it! Once I’m back in Ohio for the summer he will be showing up on the blog a lot more, so I wanted to give you guys a bit of our background!

In Siesta Key, FL

Chris and I met the summer before our sophomore year of college. We were introduced at my cousin Whitney’s house- she and her now husband wanted to set us up. They knew Chris because he and Jordan played summer baseball together.

It was basically lust at first sight :). We hit it off right away and within a week we went on an official double date with Jordan and Whitney. I even remember what restaurant we went to, and what dishes both of us ordered haha.

We continued to see each other for the rest of the summer and I was seriously head over heels for this guy. Not only do I think he is super good looking, but he is a genuinely nice human being and he is motivated to do something with his life. We decided to give things a try when we went back to school- him at Wittenberg U. and me at Miami U. It was a little rocky at first because I wasn’t sure I wanted to do something long distance – the schools were only about an hour and a half drive apart. But, in the end, I was just so drawn to him that I couldn’t not pursue a relationship.

We officially began dating that October, and ever since I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world. We made it through that first year- even though we only got to see each other on weekends, and we had such a good time with one another!

That summer we went to D.C. for my brother’s soccer tournament and we went to Hilton Head on a vacay with my mom.

Chris and I always have fun together, and it was amazing how quickly we were able to feel comfortable around each other. That fall he transferred to my school- not because of me- but because he wanted to get his degree in Exercise Science and his current college didn’t offer that. I’m not gonna lie, having Chris at Miami was amazing. We got even closer to each other- if that’s even possible. Our relationship grew so much to the point that I never see myself with any other guy. He is my best friend in the entire world, and I still can’t believe that I get him all to myself ;). I’m not complaining though.

Chris is the best boyfriend a girl could ask for. I’m serious. He listens to me, he loves me and all of my craziness, he’s kind, he knows how to challenge me when I need it but he is also extremely supportive. Hell, he was all for me going to Boston for grad school. Sure, we knew that long distance would be hard, but he has never and will never want to prevent me from doing something. I don’t want to do that to him either. I think that we make each other better people. We see the greatness in one another and we’re always giving each other compliments . We have the best relationship I could ever dream of.

We have definitely had to work more at our relationship this year because we’ve only gotten to see each other about every 6 weeks. It has been hard, but completely worth it. Chris will be moving to Florida in August to pursue his graduate degree. I am so proud of him for doing something he wants and something that I know he will strive at. Sure, that just means we’re going to have to work even harder, but when you want something as badly as we both do- you make it happen :).

Last Summer

I can also thank Chris for much of my healthy lifestyle. He is an avid exerciser and a super clean-eater. He does it all for his health too- not so he can “look” better (although, hello 6-pack :)). Through dating him, I’ve learned a lot about healthier ways to provide my body with the appropriate nutrients and he definitely has inspired my love for fitness. It’s also great that he thinks I look better with muscle.

To me, Chris is the entire package and I could honestly go on all day, but I’ll stop. I just wanted to introduce him to you all! I can’t wait to spend time with him this summer- hanging out, having fun, and traveling :).
