Blogger Meetup and Bamboo Bottle Review

Hi friends!! Happy Friday before Christmas :D.

Yesterday I got to meet Kristen for a lunch at Panera! This was my first blogger meetup and it was amazing. Kristen is the kind, warm, funny, and all around awesome girl that you would think she is! I probably could have kept chatting with her for a long time, but tis the season for being busy and having lots of plans right? Seriously though, I now really wish that Kristen and I lived close to one another because I think we could be really great friends and have a blast hanging out with one another.

Kristen and I at Panera!

It was great how easy it was to talk to Kristen…and I’m really happy that I got to know more about her outside of her blog! We chatted about family, weddings (duh haha), friends, our relationships with our significant others, school/work, and of course blogging. I am not lying either when I say that I was giddy on the drive home because I had so much fun meeting and chatting with her!

And I could probably go on forever about how great of a time I had yesterday, but I don’t want you all to be jealous 😛 hehe. But, I will say that Kristen is such a great girl and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have met her in person!

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Bamboo Bottle Company and asked to try and review one of their water bottles! It just came in the mail a few days ago and so I’ve been giving it a try.

The Bamboo Bottle Company water bottles are re-usable and made of glass, renewable bamboo, and BPA-free plastic! This means that no nasty chemicals are leaching into your drink! These glass of these bottles helps keep your drinks tasting fresh (unlike some of the plastic bottles that are used and can then taste plastic-y) and they keep your beverage insulated whether it’s hot or cold!

I’m all for re-usable water bottles and this one is great! It is a bit heavy since the bottle is made of glass, but the bamboo that surrounds it does feel like it would protect it. Other than the bamboo, the bottles are dishwasher safe (thank goodness, I don’t like hand washing water bottles haha)!

Guess what else is awesome about this bottle…or should I say the bamboo part of it. Did you know that bamboo helps contribute to the air we breathe? I didn’t…it releases 35% more oxygen than equivalent strands in trees (source). Also, bamboo is a very renewable resource and can grow to maturity in less than a year…meaning that it can be used and replenished frequently!

I really like this water bottle! My water has tasted really fresh and cool when I’ve used it. Plus, I like knowing that I am being environmentally friendly when I use this bottle!

AND Bamboo Bottle Company is being really great and is offering all of my readers (yes, that means you) 20% the purchase of a water bottle! All you have to do is enter “Health” into the code box during checkout. Here’s where you can do some shopping on their website: http://www.bamboobottleco.com/store/

I hope you all have an amazing Friday! And an awesome holiday weekend :D. I have lots of family stuff going on these next couple of days and I want to soak up my time with them and enjoy myself. That means I will be taking the next couple of days off from blogging. I’ll still be reading though! Love you all!!

Question:

If you’ve had a blogger meetup, how was it?

Do you use re-usable water bottles? What kinds?
