Mix1 Protein Shakes

Happy Friday!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that hiking can be challenging! A lot of you do it rather frequently and I’m quite jealous that you are able to! Wednesday was much prettier than Tuesday, so I was able to take some pictures while in the Smoky Mountains:

Um…I’m in love with my new DSLR camera :D.

Last week I was sent some all-natural protein shakes by mix1 to try.

These protein shakes are made with whey protein and other natural ingredients and are great as a pre-workout or a post-workout recovery snack. They contain the proper balance of carbs, protein, and healthy fats that are beneficial to an active body.

The regular protein shakes contain 15g of protein and are around 200 calories, while the lean protein shakes contain 90 calories and 10g of protein. Both types of shakes contain 3g of soluble fiber and 3 servings of fruits and vegetables. Also, they are lactose, soy, gluten and caffeine free!

I have never been a bit protein shake fan because generally these types of products have ingredients in them that aren’t so good for you and their nutrition facts are nothing to be excited about. However when I received these mix1 shakes I was really happy when I looked at the nutrition labels! These shakes are good for you and on top of that- they actually taste good!!

Chocolate all-natural protein shake

So far, the chocolate and strawberry-banana have been my favorite flavors but in all honesty, all four flavors I was sent (chocolate, strawberry-banana, blueberry, and vanilla) tasted great! These shakes are fabulous for pre and post-workout snacks or for an anytime snack. A couple of times, I had these shakes as my afternoon snack and they kept me full and satisfied :).

I sometimes struggle to find midday snacks that have enough protein to keep my full and these shakes definitely helped me on that front! The regular ones can be consumed on their own while you can have the lean ones (90 calories) in combination with something else.

I’m really glad that I found was sent these shakes to try! They taste good, are made with healthy and natural ingredients, and have a winning combination of fats, carbs, and protein- talk about a great drink! Another cool thing is that while you can order these shakes online, you can also buy them in grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Kroger, Publix, etc. I highly suggest that you give them a try!!

And I just had to show you a couple of the cute pics I took of my dog, Mia, yesterday πŸ˜›

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!

**Please note: I was sent mix1 protein shakes to review andΒ  was not compensated. Any and all opinions are my own!

Questions:

Are you a fan of protein shakes? What types?

Have you ever tried mix1?? What did you think?

GAH! Your camera takes such fantastic pictures! They honestly look like they came straight from a postcard or something. My birthday is coming up at the end of January so I am hoping for the same camera from my loving family, so lets keep our fingers crossed!

  6. Hello pretty pics!! That camera must rock πŸ™‚

I love protein shakes–esp after a workout or if I need more veggies in my day and don’t want a salad or soup (or just need a snack). Those sound good to try–thanks for sharing!

  7. These look pretty tasty actually!! I love my protein shakes!! Right now all I drink is the Vi-Shape Shake {Shake mix that tastes like cake mix! LOL} since I promote the business and love the results I’ve gotten from them.

Its important to have protein after your sweat sessions, isn’t it?

    xxoo

  8. I’ve never found a packaged protein shake that I liked. I haven’t tried the Mix1 though. I like making my own in a blender bottle but smoothies are always better if I have the time!

  12. Heike Scheffler

    Hi there!

I found Mix1 a few years ago in Florida and I LOVE them! Unfortunately, I live in Canada and they are not available here yet. However, whenever I am in the US I scout them out for my workouts!

    Nice blog! πŸ™‚

  13. I love MIX1 shakes. I would love to win!

  14. I too have a hard time finding protein shakes I enjoy, yet want to because I hear they are great after strength training workouts. I will have to give these a try! Thanks for the recommendation!

    P.S. your puppy is adorable!!!

  15. How is this product suppose to be super healthy and all natural, but has 22 grams of sugar in it? 22 grams of sugar in an 11 ounce drink is not healthy
