Boston Blogger Meet Up and New Strength Workout
I had an AMAZING night last night. I met some awesome bloggers from the Boston area :).
Tracy, Amy, Tessa, Sarah, Sara, and I all met at the J.P. Licks in Davis Square for ice cream! We had such a great time! We were there for about an hour just chatting away about a bunch of different things. I had “known” Tessa and Sara before this from reading their blogs and was beyond excited to meet them in person! It was also so much fun meeting Tracy, Amy, and Sarah, and I can’t wait to start reading their blogs!
My ice cream was fabulous :). Tessa told me that she had gotten the oatmeal cookie fro-yo before and that it was delicious. I trusted her input and decided to go for it as well. Um….GOOD CHOICE. It actually tasted like an oatmeal cookie!
Meeting bloggers in person is such a strange experience because you feel like you know so many personal things about them, but then you have to figure out how to act toward them in real life and it can feel kind of awkward. But I still love it :D. Each one of these girls were amazing and so incredibly kind and fun! I’m sad that I won’t be able to continue meeting up with them but I’m also so thankful that we were able to do this before I move home.
I’m so happy that we met up ladies!! And Tessa, yay for our idea to get together :D….and I was totally serious when I said you should come visit Ohio and take a trip with me to Cedar Point hehe.
Anyway…I also have a new strength workout for you all! This was the workout I completed on Tuesday. After taking a good 4-day break from exercise I was ready for something challenging and this workout definitely provided that!
This workout not only challenges your strength, but also your endurance! There were several times that my heart rate was going so fast that I had to take a break. Other than that though, my body felt great and it was nice to work it hard! I think the most challenging things for me were the assisted pull-ups…I could barely make it through the final 10 reps. Needless to say, my back was feeling it yesterday haha.
I also think I’m getting much better at my new way of working out. I’ve been doing 2-3 more intense workouts a week, yet they are shorter than they used to be. The other workouts I do are much lighter and I try not to freak out if I don’t get in 6 days of exercise. It’s been mentally challenging but as I keep doing it and I notice that nothing is changing about my body, those thoughts are not as frequent or as intense (thank goodness!). I just hope that this is something that I can continue with and that I won’t “fall off the bandwagon” so to speak. I don’t want to go back to where I was pushing myself too hard, too often!
Anyway, sorry for rambling. I hope you all have a great day!
