Holiday Weekend

Hiiiii everyone!

I hope you’re having a great holiday weekend :D. Today we’re having a cookout at my house with my mom’s family! I can’t wait to see all of them! And of course I can’t wait to enjoy the delicious food hehe. I have also been enjoying myself this weekend and relaxing!

Friday afternoon I received another pair of silver glitter TOMS from my friend for graduation. I felt bad that I already had them but she told me to exchange them for something, so I went to Nordstrom and got a super cute necklace that I’ve been wearing ever since!

In the evening my mom and I ordered pizza, drank some wine, and went to get fro-yo. It was amazing ❤

That lovely mix includes cake batter and cookie’s ‘n’ cream fro-yo topped with crushed reese’s peanut butter cups, crushed graham cracker crust, and reese’s pieces. Holy yum!

Yesterday morning I went to a spinning class…the first one I’ve gone to in over a year. Um, wow was it hard! But also totally awesome. I have forgotten how much I love spinning. It is such a challenging workout, but if you have a good instructor then I always feel strong and empowered when I’m doing it! I think I need to try and go to one at lease once a week. Although, my my butt is incredibly sore today from the bike seat haha…I’ll have to rebuild that tolerance asap ;).

After spinning (and showering of course ;)) I met up with my friend Whitney for coffee! It was so great to see her! She will be my maid of honor and I’ve missed her so much. I’m loving that she will be home in C-bus a lot this summer! Last night I went to dinner with my dad and his wife. We went to a fantastic thai place downtown Columbus called Nida’s Thai on High. My meal was super tasty even though I don’t quite know how to pronounce it:

I had my dish with chicken. And yes, I ate the entire thing. And yes, I was hungry like 2 hours later. Does that happen to anyone else? I feel like whenever I eat chinese, japanese, or thai food I am always hungry really soon afterward haha. Maybe I’m just naturally hungry all the time.

This post is so random haha. But I hope you guys have been enjoying your weekends like I have! And I hope that you get to celebrate and remember those that have served for our country in one way or another :). Thank you to everyone that has!

  1. that is a really pretty necklace!! have fun at your cookout! 🙂 🙂

  2. I love spinning! BUT I haven’t been in like 2 weeks or so, & I’m already worried it’s going to hurt the next time I go (tomorrow!). It’s one of those that you really have to stay in the swing of, or else you’re always going to leave with a sore booty! haha I actually stopped going for a while because the instructor kept doing the SAME thing every class. Luckily, since tomorrow is a holiday, I get to go to a class with one of my favorite instructors who always switches things up!

  3. Pizza, wine, and froyo, what could be better?! I miss spinning SO much! I need to take a class when I get home, I haven’t taken one in forever. And I’m always hungry, so yes, I get hungry like two hours after too haha ;D Have a wonderful weekend girl!

  4. Love the choice for the necklace! That is funny someone else got you the shoes, clearly it was meant to be! Excellent frozen yogurt concoction as well, I approve 🙂 And I haven’t been to spinning in forever either, can’t wait to go back again though… it works up a sweat to say the very least! I will go again when I get my gym membership figured out!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend lovely lady 🙂

  5. Haha! I always say “chinese food never fills me up!” It’s always happened to me! So weird!

Enjoy your day babe 🙂 This post made me so happy! You seem so bubbly 🙂

    Love u

  6. Sounds like an incredibly fun holiday weekend already! That fro yo combination looks amazing. Why do none of the fro yo places near me have cookies and cream? sigh. Enjoy the rest of your holiday!

  7. I would have to say that cookies & creme and cake batter are the two best flavors around 🙂 Not to mention red velvet!

HOpe you are enjoying the holiday weekend!

  8. I heart spinning!!! It’s my fave workout ever. Love the necklace you bought too. I really love the look of classic, simple necklaces. Sounds like you’ll be having a great weekend!!

  9. I’ve been wanting to try a spinning class … I’ve never gone to one before. I think I might try one out this week at Lifetime. But I’m nervous b/c I know it’s going to be a major challenge for me!!

Hope you’ve been having a great weekend, my friend! Thanks for your sweet text yesterday!! 🙂

    • Don’t be nervous! The awesome thing is that you have control over the amount of tension you put on the bike, and no one can tell how much you have on haha…so you work as hard as you want! You’re welcome :D. I hope you have a great Memorial Day!

  10. Yay for random posts! Also silver glitter toms sound amazing…you could have sent them my way! 😉

When do you graduate? Or am I behind and should say “when” did you graduate?

  11. I love that necklace! The combination of pizza, wine, and froyo is pretty much the most perfect thing ever. Add in some sushi, dancing, and roller coasters (too much?) and I think I would be the happiest girl in the world. Have a great time at your cookout, sweet girl!

  12. Pizza + fro yo = AMAZING! Yumm.

And yes, Thai usually doesn’t hold me over that long b/c they use lots of veggies and not tons of fat in their dishes (for the main part). So that’s probably why 😉

  13. I have so many things to say!

    1. YEY FOR THAI! Obviously you know that I am very happy you had your very own Thai feast this weekend

    2. That necklace is so gorgeous!

    3. I haven’t done spinning in at least a year, and I know what you mean about losing your tolerance for it. It’s a workout like no other!

    4. You just reminded me that it’s been far too long since I’ve had froyo

    5. Happy Memorial Day, girlie 😀

    • Haha we need to get Thai together :D. And you should get some fro-yo today to celebrate the holiday! Hope you have a great Memorial Day pretty lady ❤

  14. I love to spin! I haven’t been in 4-5 months, so I would probably die if I went back. 🙂 Thai food fills me up quickly, but then I am always hungry 2-3 hrs later. But then again… I’m always hungry 2-3 hours after eating! 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend!!
